WK 4

Drawing. Line drawings of plants and bones. 3 days. crit on 4th day.
3D hollowed out internal organ.

AP mini concentration 3 words.
AP 2 words 3 pieces. 

Week 3 - 2D

This week there were 2 graded exercises. (unless you were late and have homework)
1. 4- 10 minute drawings of feet. Yours.
1. 3- 10 minute drawings of hands.
A. drawing of your hand with your non dominant hand-no "stop" sign or "turkey" traced hands either.
B. Drawing of your non dominant hand with the hand you write with, holding the pencil like a wand.
C. Drawing the outline of the hand and useing the pencil for a variety of lines outside of the hand. It should look like an outline of the hand on a dark background.
Additionally the class had:
1. Essential Criteria Pre test.
2. Survey from NAA on colleges.

3D week 2 Aug 29-Sept 2

This week we will continue our handbuilding techniques for pinch pots. Students are responsible for having 3 pinch pots by Friday, Sept 2 2011.

• The "blind" pinch pot from week one
• A multi holed pinch pot with legs
• A closed form pinch pot -remember to put a hole in it! (so steam can escape)

In addition, there will be 4 reading bell works that will require a written answer to a specific question from your reading. Pleas answer in complete sentences and use correct grammar and punctuation.

2D week 2 Aug 29-Sept 2

This week we will begin with the introduction to the elements and principals of design as well as the importance of keeping a visual journal/sketchbook.

Please remember to bring your sketchbooks to class each and every day!

This week we will have 4 reading bell work exercises as well as begin a self portrait using a variety of lines.

APes week 2 Aug 29-Sept 2

APes you will be responsible for reading, uploading the AP studio art information for the AP exam you are going to work for. ie. Drawing or 2D or 3D. Each different area has particular information you need to be aware of. A test will be given on Friday Sept 2. 2011. (and don't forget to register for the Zombie proof structure by the 2nd either)
